In 2010, I wanted to give a friend of mine a really awesome one of a kind birthday cake. It was my first attempt at using fondant and it was harder than I expected. After posting a picture of the finished product on a popular social network, I soon began receiving requests to make other cakes. Several failures and successes later I find myself still at it. So, at the request of my friends, I've created this blog to chronologize my adventures as an amatuer cake maker.
